Evacuations, street closings in NYC after steam pipe blast

The Fire Department of New York says a massive high-pressure steam leak has caused street closings in Manhattan's Flatiron District. NEW YORK - An aging steam pipe exploded beneath Fifth Avenue in Manhattan early Thursday, hurling chunks of asphalt, sending a geyser of white vapor 10 stories into the air and forcing the evacuation of 28 buildings.
